How to Roll Auras in Project: Aura

Tickets, lucky rolls, and the difference between collecting and actually building.

How to Roll Auras

Rolling is the headline verb in Project: Aura, and it is the easiest system to misuse. Rival Ducks hands launch players a pile of Aura Roll Tickets and Lucky Aura Rolls via code RELEASE. This guide is how to spend them so the 42+ character roster becomes a toolkit instead of a graveyard of animations you never equip.

If you have not redeemed yet, stop and follow how to redeem. Tickets you do not own cannot be budgeted.

The two roll currencies

Aura Roll Tickets (standard). These are your sampling tools. They exist to show you roles, VFX language, and which characters even make sense with your current runes. Burn them when you are still answering “what is in this game?”

Lucky Aura Rolls. These are the bias. The official listing pairs them with the launch code for a reason: Rival Ducks expects dry streaks, and lucky rolls are the player-controlled lever. Spend them when you can name a hole in the build, not when the last animation was boring.

Prism is not a roll ticket. Prism buys the upgrade tree, merchant stock, potions, and food. If you convert every thought into “more rolls,” you starve the systems that make a drop playable.

A simple spend rule

For the launch bundle (10 standard, 5 lucky):

  1. Roll four to six standard tickets with no target. Watch roles, not rarity text.
  2. Write down what you actually equipped. One line is enough: “flex melee,” “ranged VFX carry,” “support-shaped,” “I have no idea.”
  3. Spend one or two lucky rolls only if that line has an obvious hole.
  4. Park the rest. Weekly content arrives every week. Tickets in the bag still exist after a patch. Tickets in a panic animation do not.

This rule survives even when drop tables change. It does not require a leaked 0.01% chart.

How rolling fits the other nine systems

Project: Aura is not Sol’s RNG with extra steps, and it is not a phonk clicker. After a character lands:

  • Slot them next to runes, potions, and food. See runes and potions.
  • Check whether the upgrade tree has a node that makes this role cheaper to feed.
  • Walk exploration so you are not only staring at a summon circle.
  • Compare the role — not the name — to the character tier list. Launch week has no frozen god list.

If a drop does not change your equipped composition, it was a collection event. That is allowed. It is not progress. The session planner has a checkbox for “collection only” nights so you do not lie to yourself.

Luck-relief is already running

Rival Ducks markets a custom luck-relief layer: unlucky streaks never go unrewarded, and it is explicitly “not your average pity system.” Translation for rollers:

  • You should not wait until a hidden 90-pull hard pity the game never advertised.
  • You should not vendor every “bad” drop on the assumption pity needs blood.
  • You should still use lucky tickets as a player-side bias when you are hunting a role.

The dedicated explanation is luck-relief. Rolling without that page is how people invent fake pity counters in Discord and then rage when the counter was never real.

Like, Favorite, and other superstition

The experience page tells you to Like and Favorite to “lock in your luck.” Do it if it is free and you like the game. Then roll with the ticket rule above. Superstition is not a plan. Group membership is a plan because it grants a real gift — group rewards. Codes are a plan. Lucky tickets are a plan. A like button is a nice extra.

When to stop a session

Stop rolling when any of these is true:

  • You cannot explain what the last three drops changed in your build.
  • You are about to spend Prism on more tickets while the upgrade tree is untouched.
  • You opened a script that “auto-rolls until legendary.” Read script safety. Launch-week auto-rollers are usually pointed at other Aura games.
  • You have been in the menu so long you forgot the map exists. Go explore.

Stopping is a skill in RNG hybrids. The players who still have lucky tickets when the first biweekly patch lands will eat the players who animated them all on day one.

How to get more rolls after RELEASE

RELEASE is limited. After it:

  • Watch Updates and Discord for new codes. Weekend cadence is the current rumor with a weekly content clock to match.
  • Play the other systems. Incremental games usually drip tickets through tree nodes, merchants, and exploration even when that drip is not fully documented on day one. Do those loops instead of refreshing a codes page every four minutes.
  • Do not buy every Robux pack on sight. The roster will expand. Value is unstable.

Keep standard and lucky currencies visually separate in your head. If the HUD stacks them, the controls page will help you find which button is which. If you still mix them, pause and reopen this guide before the next press.

Rolling is the hook. Building is the game. Use tickets to feed the second thing.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Project: Aura players on Roblox.

Should I use lucky rolls immediately after redeeming RELEASE?

No. Sample with standard tickets first, then spend lucky rolls on a named hole. See the spend rule above.

Is there a pity timer for aura rolls?

Rival Ducks describes luck-relief, not a classic pity cap. Read luck-relief before you invent a counter.

Do I need a script to auto-roll?

No. Auto-roll scripts at launch often target other Aura titles. Start at the scripts hub only after safety.

What do I do with duplicate characters?

Treat them as collection or as food for a system we have not been given a public dismantle table for. Do not assume a secret god craft. Keep playing build crafting.

Where do more tickets come from after the launch code?

New codes, weekly content, and the other progression systems. Track drops on updates.
