Project: Aura Character Collection
Forty-two plus bodies with custom VFX — how to own them without drowning.
The collection is where Project: Aura will try to eat your evenings. 42+ hand-crafted characters at launch, weekly new content, custom animations on R6 rigs. Pre-launch kit clips named at least one body — Tamaki — as a VFX proof, not as an S-tier stamp. Use the index and milestones track so the book pays progress instead of only rare hits. Completing the book is a long incremental goal. Equipping a build is a short one. This page is how to use the book without letting it replace the game.
For ranking jobs, go to the character tier list. For rolling into the book, go to how to roll. For the people who sell you food, go to merchants.
How to browse without a public index
Open the in-game collection / character panel (see controls if you cannot find it). Sort however the UI allows — newest, equipped, leftover. Make two mental piles:
- Equippable this week — passes the composition test with mix-ins you own.
- Museum — everything else, including the ones you like looking at.
The museum is allowed. It is not a failure. It is a failure only if Prism from RELEASE is still going into museum pieces instead of into the upgrade tree that feeds the equippable pile.
Duplicates
No official dismantle, merge, or limit-break table was on the experience page. Until Updates says otherwise:
- Keep duplicates.
- Do not sell them to a stranger (no player market is advertised).
- Do not assume a secret 5-star craft.
- Do treat a duplicate as a possible luck-relief floor payment. That is a success, not a slap.
If a future patch adds merge, you will be glad you did not vendor.
What “hand-crafted” should change in your brain
Palette-swap RNG games train you to ignore 90% of the book. Rival Ducks spent animation budget on purpose. When you roll someone new, watch the kit once in a space that is not the plaza — the exploration deck or a cavern mouth. If you never see the kit, you will mis-rank it on the tier list as “glow.”
Sound is part of the identity. Mute at your own risk.
Collection goals that do not wreck builds
Good goals:
- Own one body for each job you care about (carry, mule, specialist).
- Fill the book slowly with standard tickets.
- Spend lucky tickets only when a job is missing.
Bad goals:
- 42/42 before you touch food.
- Matching the lobby.
- Rolling through scripts so the book fills while you sleep. Ban risk plus you will not have watched a single kit.
Cross-play and the book
Your collection is on the Roblox account, not the device. Phone, PC, console share the book. If you joined the Rival Ducks group on mobile, the extra grant still feeds this same roster.
When weekly characters land, add them to the museum first. Play them second. The roadmap will tell you whether the new body is a new job or a reskin of an old job (even if the VFX are new).
The collection is a library. Check out one book at a time.
Using the book as a job map
When the UI lets you favorite or pin, pin one body per job you actually play this week: carry, mule, specialist. Everything else can sit unpinned. Pinning 42 characters is the same as pinning none. If the UI has no pin, keep the names in the session planner notes — five words is enough.
After a weekly drop, open the book before the roll menu. See whether the new body is a new job or a louder version of one you own. New job: consider a lucky ticket later. Louder version: museum. That single look saves the panic reroll the tier list warns about.
Sound and VFX as collection tools
Because each character is hand-crafted, audio and silhouette are data. If two bodies sound interchangeable, they may share a job even if the plaza disagrees. If a body is unreadable in an 8-player cavern, it is a poor exploration mule no matter how rare the color is. Watch kits in a quiet corner, not on top of someone else’s projectile.
Sharing the book with friends
There is no advertised trade. Showing a friend your collection is social, not economic. Do not log into their account to “move” a character. Do not buy a script that claims it clones a roster. The book is account-bound until an update says otherwise.
Collect slowly. Equip quickly. That is the whole library skill.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Project: Aura players on Roblox.
How many characters are in Project: Aura?
42+ at launch. Weekly content adds more. There is no official public named index on the Roblox page yet.
Should I try to collect them all immediately?
No. Equip a build first. The book is a long goal.
What do I do with duplicates?
Keep them until a patch documents merge or dismantle. They may also be luck-relief paying you a floor.
Where are character names listed?
In-game first. This wiki will not invent 42 names. Jobs live on the character tier list.
