Launch Notes

Project: Aura did not appear from nowhere in August 2026. Rival Ducks spent months in Discord — sneak peeks, character guesses, weekly giveaways, a June closed beta, then early access, then a public flip with the experience renamed around RELEASE. This page is that timeline so you stop treating the game as vaporware or as a five-year-old Steam colony sim with the same name.

Play it here: Project: Aura on Roblox. Then redeem the launch code.

Timeline

February 2026. Official Discord (Project: Aura HQ) already exists. Community tools: announcements, suggestions, daily “guess the character,” giveaways.

April 2026. Universe created (Roblox timestamps put creation around 1 April). Pre-release work continues.

June 2026. Closed beta, as advertised on the Discord roadmap. Access was gated; daily minigames were one path people used to try to get in.

Shortly after beta. Early access, then a public opening a few days later — the Discord’s published sequence. Cross-play (PC, mobile, console) was promised from day one of that public window.

Friday 28 August 2026. Public launch. @RivalDucks had posted the date and trailer three days earlier. The live experience shows [RELEASE] Project: Aura and the description shouting OUT NOW. Code RELEASE is printed on the page. This wiki treats the game as released.

Sunday 30 August 2026. The Roblox experience stamped Updated 8/30/2026 — first post-RELEASE client stamp. Details: first-week notes.

If you skipped beta, you are not missing a secret permanent title. You missed a test. The public build is the one to learn: getting started.

What shipped in the RELEASE build

The live description is the checklist:

  • Roll auras, chase rare drops
  • 42+ hand-crafted characters, custom animation / VFX / sound
  • Build crafting with runes, potions, food
  • Exploration, upgrade tree, merchants, and more systems around that core
  • Custom luck-relief (not average pity)
  • Weekly content, biweekly bigger gameplay updates
  • Group gift, Like + Favorite luck lock-in
  • Server size 8, maturity minimal, simulation / incremental genre tags

Those bullets map onto wiki pages on purpose. Rolling → how to roll. Builds → build crafting. Relief → luck-relief. Tree / map / shops → their own guides. Codes → codes hub.

What did not ship (or is not documented)

  • A public named 42-row drop table
  • A classic pity number
  • A player trading post
  • A sanctioned executor
  • A confirmed public Trello (Discord fills that job)

The tier list stays job-based until names are stable. That is a launch-notes decision, not a missing page.

How to spend the first week after launch

You are not late. Weekly content means the book grows whether you panic or not.

  1. Stack RELEASE, group gift, optional Like/Favorite.
  2. Follow getting started for one hour.
  3. Keep lucky tickets for a named hole.
  4. Read roadmap before you buy Robux because “launch FOMO.”
  5. Pin Discord so week-one codes do not pass you.

Launch notes will gain a short “since RELEASE” list as the first biweekly patch lands. Until then, the live Roblox page is the patch note.

Why the Steam and XR collisions matter

Search “Project Aura” and you will hit a 2018 colony builder and Google/XREAL glasses. Those pages will tell you the game is old, mixed reviews, or not a game at all. They are not this experience. If a friend says “that game already launched years ago,” send them the Rival Ducks Roblox URL and this timeline. The colon in Project: Aura plus the RELEASE tag are the identity.

What “OUT NOW” changes in the wiki

Before public launch, this site would have focused on wishlist, beta access, and FAQ about platforms. Those questions are answered: Roblox, cross-play, free, 8-player shards, code live. Post-launch pages focus on codes, builds, and cadence. We will not keep pre-release language. facts.json marks the game released. Other pages must agree.

First biweekly after RELEASE

When it lands, this notes page will add a dated bullet: what system moved, whether a code shipped, whether HUD controls moved (controls). Until that bullet exists, do not invent it from a plaza rumor. The roadmap tells you how to spend while you wait — keep a Prism buffer, keep a lucky ticket.

You did not miss the real game. You missed a beta. Play the RELEASE build.
