Roles first, names later — a launch-week ranking method that survives weekly drops.
A tier list for a game that just launched with 42+ hand-crafted characters and weekly content is a trap if it pretends to be finished. This hub does not invent a secret S-tier roster. It ranks jobs, then points you at the two live boards:
- Character tier list — bodies and roles.
- Runes, potions, and food — the mix-ins that actually create a build.
- Starter builds — three launch-week jobs you can fill with RELEASE drops.
If a Discord screenshot shows 42 named rows with made-up percentages, close it. Rival Ducks has not published a public drop table on the experience page. This wiki will not fake one.
How we rank on launch week
S — Portable jobs. A role you can still play after next week’s character lands. Flex carries, exploration mules, mix-ins that socket onto more than one body.
A — Specialist jobs. Extremely good if your composition is built around them, fragile if the weekly patch adds a counter or a cheaper substitute.
B — Collection and plaza. Pretty VFX, weak grammar. Fine in the collection, expensive as a main.
C — Trap loops. Anything that wants you to spend all remaining lucky rolls “because the list said so.”
This lettering is for jobs, not for leaking names we do not have. When official or widely verified names exist, they will slot under those letters on the character page.
Why mix-ins can outrank bodies
Project: Aura’s pitch is combinatorial. Two players with the same character should diverge because of runes, potions, and food. That means a B-tier body with S-tier food uptime can beat an S-tier body with empty sockets. Read both child pages before you vendor a drop.
Luck-relief also changes ranking. A character that “only appears when you are dry” is not useless; relief already promised that dry is not unpaid. Do not C-tier a body just because it arrived during a bad streak.
What is not on this hub (on purpose)
- PvP ladders — servers hold 8 collectors, not a ranked arena (unless a future update adds one).
- Robux-only god rows — free to play is the default. Paid spikes will be labeled when they exist.
- Other games named Aura. This list is only Rival Ducks’ Project: Aura.
How to use a tier list without wrecking your account
- Name your job on the build page.
- See which letter that job currently sits in.
- Spend Prism on mix-ins and the upgrade tree, not on chasing a screenshot.
- After a weekly drop, re-read this hub. Weekly content is designed to shuffle S and A.
The session planner has a “do not reroll the whole account” box. Use it on patch day.
